In Seattle, vans and minivans are more than just vehicles; they’re integral parts of family adventures, work journeys, and community outreach. Whether you’re parked by Lake Washington or navigating the busy streets of Ballard, your old van can still make a big difference. At RideRebirth, we specialize in turning your unwanted minivan or cargo van into a lifeline for families in need and community groups throughout the Puget Sound.
Donating your van or minivan is easy and impactful. We accept vehicles in any condition—from well-loved family haulers to retired work vans that just can’t pass inspection anymore. Plus, our team will handle everything from pickup logistics to title transfer, making it a breeze for you to contribute to an important cause right here in Seattle.

Condition & logistics
Running vs. Not Running
Whether your van is still in good working order or has seen better days, we welcome both running and non-running vehicles. Every donation can help someone in need, so don’t hesitate to reach out regardless of your vehicle's condition.
Title Issues
If your van’s title has seen better days or is missing, we can guide you through the steps to obtain a duplicate or address any complications. We believe everyone should have the chance to donate, regardless of title status.
Storage/Pickup Logistics
Worried about where to park that old van? We handle all logistics! Our team can arrange for convenient pickup from your home or work, so you don’t have to worry about storage or transportation issues.
Title transfer & paperwork
In Washington, transferring the title of your donated van or minivan is straightforward. You’ll need to complete a vehicle title application and sign over the title to RideRebirth. Be sure to include your name, address, and the sale date on the title. Notarization isn’t necessary, but returning the plates to the DMV is a must. Don't worry—we'll walk you through every step!
Tax deduction for this donation
When you donate your van or minivan, you may qualify for a tax deduction in the range of $500 up to the full market value if it’s sold for more. This can significantly reduce your taxable income. Be sure to keep the IRS Form 1098-C we provide, as it documents your contribution and assists with filing your taxes come April.
Local context — Seattle
Minivans and vans come from all corners of Seattle, from the family-centric neighborhoods of West Seattle to the bustling streets of Capitol Hill. Many donations arise from life changes, such as downsizing due to kids leaving home or relocation for work across the state. With the local culture emphasizing sustainability and community support, more Seattleites are choosing to donate vehicles instead of letting them sit idle. It’s a trend that reflects our values of connection and helping one another thrive.
