Join us in making a tangible difference in the Seattle community while benefiting from the advantages of workplace giving.
How to activate this channel
Donate Your Vehicle
Start by donating your vehicle to RideRebirth. Ensure your donation qualifies as a charitable contribution by adhering to IRS requirements, including the issuance of a 1098-C tax form.
Receive Your 1098-C
Following your vehicle donation, RideRebirth will provide you with a 1098-C form. This crucial document verifies your contribution and is essential for your employer's matching-gift process.
Submit Matching Gift Request
Log into your employer’s matching-gift platform, such as Benevity or YourCause. Submit your matching-gift request, including the 1098-C receipt, RideRebirth’s name, and our EIN.
Employer Verification
Your employer will review your submission. They may reach out for additional information, so make sure to keep your donation details accessible for a smooth verification process.
Receive Matching Funds
After verification, your employer will disburse the matching funds directly to RideRebirth. This process usually takes between 30 to 90 days post-donation.
×Impact multiplier
Consider a vehicle donation valued at $1,500. When matched 1:1 by your employer, this creates a total impact of $3,000 for RideRebirth, directly enhancing our community programs. Some employers even offer enhanced matching ratios—2:1 or 3:1—especially for causes like education or healthcare, further amplifying your impact. Additionally, executives or board members may have access to higher matching caps, maximizing their contributions to our mission. Your donation, combined with employer matching, significantly strengthens our ability to serve those in need and fulfill our charitable objectives.
